Feeding Chittenden is committed to providing food assistance and resources to our community this holiday season. Our primary goal is to maintain the health and safety of recipients, volunteers, partners, and staff.
GET HELP THIS HOLIDAY SEASON
You do not need to bring an ID, utility bills, or pay stubs. We will ask some basic questions to get started
If you need to pick up food for someone who is unable to come to Feeding Chittenden please contact Edi Abeneto at (802)658-7939 ext. 23
We will begin handing out frozen turkeys and Thanksgiving sides beginning Thursday November 18th at 10am.
The Home Delivery Program will deliver groceries and meals to older adults and people with disabilities. Please contact Julia MacGibeny at jmacgibeny@cvoeo.org or 802-658-7939 ext. 34 for inquiries around holiday deliveries
We will be providing a to-go Thanksgiving meal on Wednesday November 24th from 10:00am – 4:00pm.
Community members can pick up prepared meals and bagged groceries at 228 North Winooski Avenue in Burlington Monday – Friday 10:00am – 4:00pm
Thanksgiving food boxes will be available November 18th – November 24th from 10:00am – 4:00pm

We need your help to feed 3500 families this holiday season! A donation of 25$ will provide a meal for a family of four.
We are able to purchase food at wholesale rates and below – this is much lower in cost than retail prices in the local supermarket.

For those who wish to bring a food donation, please drop off turkeys and Thanksgiving sides at Feeding Chittenden, located at 228 North Winooski Ave, Burlington, VT 05401 Monday – Friday 10 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
There will be bins by the garage doors at the far end of the parking lot for you to place your donation in!
If you are feeling ill or have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, we ask that you please wait bring us your donation.

- Feeding Chittenden is committed to providing food assistance and resources to the nearly 12,000 people we serve annually and those affected by the COVID-19 crisis. We have made changes to meal and grocery distribution in order to reduce contact and ensure implementation of infection control and prevention
- Feeding Chittenden’s goal is to maintain the health and safety of recipients, volunteers, partners, and We are closely monitoring announcements from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to ensure that we are following their recommended guidelines.
- In order to ensure the safety of our recipients and increase food access, we will be expanding our deliveries to meet the heightened need due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We want to ensure that thousands of families and individuals throughout Chittenden County are able to have a healthy, delicious holiday

1. Is Feeding Chittenden still open and continuing its daily operations?
Yes, Feeding Chittenden is still open and continuing to serve community members. Below are our hours of operation:
Monday – Friday Hours for Community Members Seeking Food Assistance:
- Prepared meal pick up – 6:30 a.m. – 8:30 a.m.
- Grocery pick up – Monday – Friday – 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
2. Is Feeding Chittenden still accepting volunteers?
In order to limit the spread of the COVID-19 virus, Feeding Chittenden is currently accepting a limited number of volunteers on-site. 3. What is Feeding Chittenden doing to reduce contact and/or the spread COVID-19?
Feeding Chittenden is committed to the safety of our staff, volunteers, partners, and recipients. We are closely monitoring announcements from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to ensure that we are following their recommended guidelines.
Feeding Chittenden is also taking the following proactive steps to help reduce contact and/or the spread of COVID-19:
- Requiring masks
- Enforcing hand-washing with soap for 20 seconds rinsing with hot water.
- Providing gloves to all volunteers
- Making hand sanitizers available throughout the building
- Advising staff and volunteers to avoid touching their eyes, nose, and mouth
- Advising all recipients, staff, volunteers, network partners, and donors to stay home if they display signs of illness and to seek medical attention as recommended by the CDC
